6 Easy Preschool Christmas games that keep the little ones entertained. They love the last one especially.


Fill The Christmas Stocking


Supplies:

  • Stocking, spoon and bowl for each team.
  • Wrapped candy.

How To Play:

Divide the children into teams. Have kids line up at one end of the room. At the other end, hang a Christmas stocking for each team. Place a bowl of sweets and a spoon in front of each team. Each child takes a turn taking a candy from the bowl with the spoon. They must then carry the sweets on the spoon to the stocking and drop the sweets in the stocking. If the sweets fall off hen the child has to go back and get more sweets from the bowl. Race back to the next person in line, give them the spoon. First team to fill the whole stocking wins!


Santa Says

Played similar to Simon Says. The player up is "Santa". Player will say "Santa says clap your hands". The children will clap their hands. Player will say "Stop". The kids are to keep clapping their hands until player says "Santa says stop". Repeat for additional activities such as take one baby step forward, jump up high, turn around, sit down. Sometimes Santa will say "Santa says" and sometimes he won't. It's a fun game to play with small kids.



Holly Wreath Or Snow Ball

Make 3 snowballs from white crepe paper or cotton wool per person playing. Hang a large christmas wreath in the doorway and let each child in turn try to throw their three snowballs through the wreath. The players who successfully throw three balls through the wreath receives a prize.


 

Easy Preschool Christmas Games - Christmas Stocking

Draw a picture of a fireplace on a piece of paper. Stick this to the wall. Now blindfold each player and supply each player with a samll stocking and stick tack. tey need to try and hand their stocking at the mantel on the sheet of paper blindfolded. You may want to place a small toy into the players stockings that got it in the right position. The players that didn't really get it right, can have another turn.



"Ring the Bell" Game

Cut out a big bell shape from the center of a piece of heavy duty card. Let the kids help to add ribbons and bells to hang from the open cut out. Let each player throw a bean bag through the hole in the bell, to try and "ring the bell". Good excercise for throwing and hand eye coordination.



Easy Preschool Christmas Games - Christmas Bingo

Draw a bing-o sheet on white paper with a picture in each square representing different Christmas items (such as: tree, reindeer, bells and ornaments). Make little matching cards for each picture. Photocopy enough cards and sheets for each child. When everyone is ready, you call out or hold up the different pictures and the kids need to match up on their own pieces of paper. Tne first to get all the pictures calls out bingo.
