Free Scooby Doo Party Games
All these free Scooby Doo party games are inspired by the movie and series, and will have your guests begging for more. I've found that having a Scooby Doo themed party works better for younger children.
Stock up on the right food and drink. I had cookies shaped like dog biscuits (you won't believe what a hit that was) and even get the guests to dress up. It all adds to the fun.
So get your pen and paper ready to start jotting down these free Scooby Doo party game ideas.
Enjoy!
Scooby Doo
Instructions:
- Make up a story about a ____ haunting the house, Oh no! The ghost has stolen all the birthday presents!
- You'll have to follow the clues to find them.
- (The ____ depends on what time of year your party is at and how young the children are... if your birthday is in February, you might want it to be a leprechaun, near Halloween perhaps a Ghost, if it's in December, perhaps an elf, for younger children perhaps a kitten stole everything).
- Then give the children clues to finding the presents.
Snack Drop
Materials Needed:
- 10 clothespins
- Dog biscuits
- Jar
Instructions:
- Have child stand over a jar with a somewhat small opening (depending on child's age).

Free Scooby Doo Party Games 3 -Find the Treasure
Materials Needed:
Instructions:
- Use the guidelines of a treasure hunt.
- Break them up into 3 or 4 groups (depending on age) and put an adult to help each.
- Give each group a simple hand drawn map of your yard with an "x", when they get to the "x", they will find another message or map- send each group to different parts of the yard.
- After about 3 maps or secret messages - have the final map for all groups lead to the same place, where a box will be with their prize.
- Depending on age will make a difference as to what type of small token they receive.
Scooby Tag
Materials Needed:
Instructions:
- To play you'll need a very strong flashlight, like a "Mag-Lite".
- Play this game in a dark house at night or in a safe place outdoors when it’s dark. A park is an ideal game location.
- Find a place to be base. Choose one player to be "it"
- The person who is "it" waits at the base and counts while the other players hide. Hiders move around during the game.
- "it" searches for the hidden players with the flashlight.
- Meanwhile, players try to run to the base without getting caught.
- Players are tagged if "it" spots them with the flashlight and calls out a player’s name.
- Each tagged player is sent to the base to wait until the very last player is caught.
- The last person tagged is "it" for the next game.
- Set a time limit for the game, if no one is tagged during that time frame, switch the person who is "it"
Variation: You can play a simpler version with young children by having the children "catch" the light while you shine it around a backyard or party room.
