Twelve Days of Christmas

Materials Needed:

None

Instructions:

Group everyone into 12 teams, it can be random or have people count off from 1-12.

Then group the teams together and give each one a verse of the twelve days of Christmas.

Each team was responsible for singing one verse of the song.

As you know, the song repeats itself, with a new verse added each time.

The best part of all is that as the teams sing their verse, they are to act out the verse (i.e. eight maids a milking, six geese a laying).

It is hillarious to see the interpretations that each group had for what motions should be acted out.

Each team should be allowed to gather together at first to determine what motions they plan to do.

Christmas Carol Chaos

Materials Needed:

Pen
Paper
Chalkboard

Instructions:

Divide group into teams.

Each team sends one person up to the GameMaster who gives them the name of a Xmas carol.

Person returns to group and, in the manner of pictionary, tries to get the group to guess the name of the carol by drawing only.

As soon as the group knows the song, they must sing it as loud as they can.

After singing, they send a new person for another song.

Play continues until one group completes all five songs.

Hints: Make sure your group is well warmed up or they won't want tosing. Also make the carols easy ones.

Carol Singing from House to House

Before the modern postal system, Carols were one of the only methods of sending a Christmas greeting to somebody else. It is still a very popular custom in many countries.

Latern

Instructions:

Give good value, by singing more than one - but do not overstay!

If somebody gives you money for your performance, make sure you say "Merry Christmas" and "Thankyou."

Make a lantern out of cardboard, with a battery operate torch inside. This will have good effect on their doorstep.

Round Song

At least 12 people sit in a circle.

Take turns in singing a verse of The Twelve Days Of Christmas.

Each person had to add a new line and remember all that went before.

When someone makes a mistake they are out.

This person wins a prize.

Capture the Star

Instructions:

In Alaska people play a Christmas game where they dress up as the Three Kings and their servants and carry a star from house to house singing carols.

Other children dress up as Herod's soldiers and try to capture the star.
