Lego Party Game Ideas


These Lego party game ideas are fun and exciting, and will make your party a smash hit. Most of them just require a whole lot of legos and a little bit of time.

Materials Needed for All Games:

  • Lego

Build a Tower


Instructions:

  • Put out a bunch of different colored legos on the floor, then time guests to see who could build the tallest structure in two minutes.


Pin the Lego on the...Lego.


Instructions:

  • Create a landscape with an integral piece missing, such as a boat's deep-sea diver or a castle's flag, and, with eyes closed, kids must take turns trying to place it in the right spot.
 

Lego Drop


Materials Needed:

  • Milk jugs
  • 10 Lego pieces for each child

Instructions:

  • Cut a hole in milk jugs and give each child 10 Lego pieces.

  • The child has to put the Lego piece up to his chin and drop it trying to get it into the milk jug.

  • Then make it progressively harder for them to get the Legos into the jug.


Ring Toss


Materials Needed:

  • Duplos
  • Hot Glue
  • Board
  • Paper plates


Instructions:

  • Hot glue a tower of Duplos onto a board and made rings out of paper plates.

  • Have the kids toss the rings onto the towers of Duplos.

  • Each turn they have to take a step backward to make the game more difficult.


Lego on a Spoon Race


Materials Needed:

  • Bowl
  • Lego
  • Spoon

Instructions:

  • Have the children race down to a bowl and put as many Lego pieces on a spoon and walk back to the start.

  • Once all the Lego pieces had been moved, they are then required to build a tall tower with them.

  • The winner is the one to complete their tower first.


Lego Velcro Toss


Materials Needed:

  • Felt dartboard
  • Different sized felt lego
  • Ping Pong balls

Instructions:

  • Make a felt dartboard.

  • On the board put different sized felt Legos that each have a separate score (a small mini fig was worth 100 points, while a Duplo size was worth 5).

  • Then use ping pong balls with Velcro dots on them, so they will stick to the felt.

  • Then play just as you would darts.


Build a Car Lego Race

Here's another one of many Lego party game ideas - especially for boys!

 

Materials Needed:

  • Car building Lego kit
  • Cardboard ramp

Instructions:

  • Give each child a car building Lego kit.

  • They must then create the car, using the directions provided, or their imagination.

  • Once the car has been built, have them test it down a cardboard ramp.


Lego Toss


Materials Needed:

  • Large piece of cardboard
  • 10 Lego pieces

Instructions:

  • Paint a large piece of cardboard with different sized Legos.

  • The children will then toss 10 Lego pieces from a distance away.

  • If their Lego piece lands on a painted Lego, they receive 1 point.

  • Winner had the highest total score.


Guess How Many Legos are in a Jar


Materials Needed:

  • Jar
  • Lego

Instructions:

  • Guess how many legos are in a jar. Use different sizes to make it more difficult.
