Medical Kids Games
Children are naturally curious, so playing doctor is a normal thing for any child.
These medical kids games help children explore their curiosity for health and the human body in new and exciting ways. Encourage your child to discuss the concepts covered in each of these games.
They would also be great activities for health fairs and health days in daycare or in grade school.
Let's Play Dentist

- Several flashcards with pictures of food on them- both good and bad foods. Like peas, carrots, cake, cookies, etc. (you can have the children create their own as part of a craft project)
Instructions:
- Take turns showing the flashcards and then asking your child or children if the dentist would approve of the food shown on the picture.

- A copy of the food pyramid (can be found online)
- Clear Tape
- Envelopes
- 2 Paper Bags
- 2 Sets of Index Cards (Each set a different color)
- Markers or chalk
Instructions:
- First you need to draw the food pyramid on a chalkboard, or piece of construction paper, labeling each space with the proper food group name and the number of servings needed each day. You may also find one online that you can print out to skip this step.
- Next place an envelope in each section of the pyramid. (if you are printing it out, it will need to be blown up to be larger).
- Then write the names of different types of foods on the index cards. Making 2 different sets.
- Each set of index cards will be placed into 2 paper bags in front of the room.
- Divide the group into 2 teams. Each team will line up in single file. When you say go the first person in each line goes to the paper bag and draws an index card with a name of a food. The child will then go to the chalkboard and stick the card into the corresponding envelope on the pyramid.
- Once the first person is done, the second person in line will then do the same thing.
